Hi! Have you looked this family up in the 1900/1910/1920 census' yet? Even though Daniel was already dead you should be able to find Maria and/or the children. The 1900 census would at least give you a place to start with Maria's vitals such as approximate date of birth and place of birth. The children would also list where their mother was born. Since Ward is such a common name that info would at least help narrow down the possibilities for further research. I come up with a list of over twenty Mary/Maria Ward in the 1880 census of CT that might be the one you're looking for so that's of limited help. Maybe she later married a WARD and is the Johanna of the baptism you are talking about? Hope this helps! Irene On Tue, 13 Nov 2001 21:06:24 -0600, you wrote: >Hi, there. > >I'm a new list member. Dear Irene, Thanks for your speedy reply. I'm currently waiting for the census film for 1880. If this info is for 1880, this may indeed be the correct family. Thanks again, Sioux coolturk wrote: > > Hi! > > Have you looked this family up in the 1900/1910/1920 census' yet? > Even though Daniel was already dead you should be able to find Maria > and/or the children.
