This is the information that I have from the book "Early Families of Standish Maine" This is what the book has to say... Jonathan Ward, born in 1774 the son of John (Joseph, George) and Hannah (Wiley) Ward of Eastham Mass and Gorham Maine. He married on Feb 3, 1794, Sarah, born Apr 2, 1771, daughter of John and Naoma (York) Hall of Standish. They were the parents of seven children, all of whom are said to have been born in Standish. The children are: George, born Sept 27, 1794, died in Sebago Aug 4, 1866 Jonathan, Jr, born July 26, 1796, died Oct 11, 1857 in Prospect Sarah, born Mar 17, 1798, married Nathan Wood of Portland William, born Dec 18, 1799 (Reverend), lived in North Sebago, died Mar 20, 1879 (His decendants are the ones I am looking for) Jacob, born Apr 6, 1802, died in 1885 Isaac, born Feb 3, 1804, died Sept 15, 1870 in Standish David, born Mar 24, 1806 Also mentioned is a brother of Jonathan, Jesse, who married Hannah Mitchell (int Nov 17, 1796) and settled in Gorham Maine near Great Falls. He was born in 1771 in Eatham Mass. Jesse was a farmer and died May 23, 1845. His wife died Mar 29, 1856 and they are both buried in North Gorham. They were the parents of 13 children.. Nothing more mentioned about Jesse' children. The Ward I am looking for, William and the 1850 Sebago census shows William, his wife Mary, Horace age 28, Ellen age 25, Sarah age 24, Nahum age 22, Charles age 17, Caroline age 5, William age 2, Josiah Jordan age 29, Rebecca Jordan (maybe Williams daug) age 16... Next to William and Mary is listed Sherburne Ward age 25 and Sarah age 22. If anyone has connections to this line I would love to have them contact me.
