I would also like to ask if any of your Wards out there were coal miners? My grandfather worked the mines from Alabama, TN, VA and Kyntucky, for 20 years are more, This was around 1890 to 1920. He was born in Gilmer Co Ga Feb. 16, 1875. His father was Hampton Percival Ward b. in 1844. there is much confusion on his birthplace. The family moved to Gilmer Co Ga abt 1842, but family records show him born in NC. Barbara
