It seems that William Ward and Herman Husbands, both of Cecil Co., MD, appeared on Sandy Creek in Orange Co NC at about the same time (abt. 1750). Haven't found any evidence that either one came with a wife, although both arrived in Orange Co. with children. I think William and his younger siblings moved to NC after the death of their parents. William Ward married a widow Elizabeth Barnett by whom he had no children. The Wards were: William b. 3/11/1718 Henry b. 12/3/1720 John b. 1/31/1722 Joseph b. 3/5/1725 George b. 8/22/1729 Vincent b. abt. 1731 Harriet b. abt. 1733 Mary b. abt. 1735 If any of these names/dates seem familiar to you please contact me.
