HI, I just realized that your Louis Ward could be mine. If so I am so excited. I thought I had hit a road block. My Louis married Elizabeth in 1880 both events where in Halifax Nova Scotia. Could you send me more info or tell me where to look? I have been at this dead end for over five years so this is something big. Hi again, I just checked that LDS record for Increase WARD. He married Abigail MOSHER in 1817 It shows only one child named Thomas WARD b.1820 Fairview, Halifax d.25 Dec 1887 (but there could have been more) He married Margaret O'Brign or O'Brien in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia in 1842. Children: Frederick 1864, Maudeh 1854, John 1855, Catherine Abigail 1862. Now it could be that Increase had more than one child and that Thomas had a brother who had a son Louis. Are you sure of the spelling of Louis? The LDS site lists a Lewis WARD b/c 1845 in Halifax, NS. who married an Elizabeth in 1880.
