Hi, Rick well sorry must be the wrong James Ward.. according to the 1850 census on James Ward that is in my files he had a wife named Nancy Bundy which was his second wife, the children of James and his first wife were: James Jr.,William, Enoch, William Alfred Ward which was my ggg-grandfather, Stephen, Sarah, Ambros They had 2 Williams but I don't know the other one's middle name and then Nancy's children from a prev. marriage, Caroline Delon which eventually became William's wife, Martha Delon , William Delon these were. Speaking of keeping it in the family, With Caroline and William getting married and them being stepsis/bro. got her kicked out of the church(Quakers), but I guess it happens.... All of them lived in Pasquotank Co.,NC..... Unless James was married twice in 1850 which could have been, but I haven't seen anything else on that, but it never hurts to find out though...
