I have lots of Ward information for the Ward family from Cecil county, Maryland, back through the 1600s but am trying to find the line of ownership for property that originally belonged to Colonel John Ward in 1694 and was eventually inherited by John Ward Davis in 1820. This was the property known as Ward's Knowledge. This is also the property eventually owned by Mary Ellen Davis and her sister. Does anyone know who were the parents of John Ward Davis? It would be a female descendant of Colonel John Ward and a male descendant of the Thomas Davis line that originated from Somerset County, MD and moved to Sussex county, Delaware.
