Lynn, I have been looking for a family of Wards that lived in or around College Corner, Ohio (Indiana not sure the town is split). They raised their Granddaughter Florence Emma Alvey. Florence's parents Charles and Sara (Ward) Alvey both died shortly after her birth in 1858. I believe they lived in Elwood, Indiana. Sara died when Florence was 18 months old and Charles died in 1862 in the Civil War... Florence was my gggrandmother. Do any of these names send out any flares.
