    3. Those of you who have some ancestors in eastern Virginia and NC - wonder if you connect with a branch of Wards described in these paragraphs: When Hamilton Ward was five years of age (cir. 1834) the family removed to Green Spring Plantation, near old Jamestown, in James City County, in the State of Virginia. This plantation was owned by Robert and John Ward, who had become men of some property, and who also owned a line of schooners which ran from the plantation and other ports in VA to New York City; it was sold by Robert in 1886. Green Spring was a historic spot. It had been the home of Sir William Berkely, the bloody royal Governor of Virginia, and a number of his successors, Famous men of the Colonial period were buried there...Old Jamestown was but founr miles distant, and Williamsburg but eight miles..... Hey ancestor hunters, do you realize what that real estate would be worth now? It's right near Busch Gardens, Williamsburg..and my Ward ancestors didn't leave me didlysquat! Deb
