Meshach was Cherokee, this family line, always lived near, but never on any reservation, until the early 1900's. I have lots of descendants and very few ancestors. Any help with this brick wall, will greatly appreciated. My Ward line came from TN to AR. I have been looking for a Michael Ward, b. 1812, TN. He had a grandson named Issac Calvin Ward, b. 1870, Hempstead Co., AR, married 1889 Susan Ebling. We have not been able to find Native Am. paper trail for this family, but an elder cousin who knew Michael's son Willis Washington Ward, b. 1846, says Willis was part Cherokee, part Choctaw and the rest black Dutch. So I think my Ward's "headed for the hills" long before the "Trail Where they Cried" Just a thought I decided to share. Anyone with a Michael in TN have one born 1812?? I have a list of Michael's children. Julia ----- Original Message ----- From: John W.
