    1. WARDs & WYATTs in KY
    2. Marianne
    3. I am searching for kinfolk of my uncle's wife, Frances Elizabeth WYATT. She married my uncle Max A. ROUSE in 1939 in KY. They had no children. "Aunt Elizabeth" (as we called her) was born either in 1908 or 1904, and died in 1990 in KY. The below information was gleaned from papers and photos left by "Uncle Max" who died this year, supplemented with data from the Internet and a few individual contacts. Frances Elizabeth WYATT was an only child of Lillie B. WARD (b. 1870) and George Minor WYATT (b. 1867). Lillie and George married circa 1903 in Scott Co., KY and resided in Cynthiana, Harrison Co., KY. Lillie died August 1944 in Fayette Co., KY. George died August 1949 in Shelby Co., KY. Lillie and George were buried in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, KY. I am looking for more information about Lillie B. WARD's family. I understand that Lillie's parents were J. F. Ward and Mariah Gaskin, both born in England. I am thinking that they lived in Cynthiana, KY also. I have determined that George's father was John T. WYATT of Pendleton Co., KY (b. 1836). He married sisters: (1st) Frances LENNOX and (2nd) Anna E. LENNOX. However he was listed as "Andrew G. Wyatt" with wife Anna and children in the 1880 Census for Harrison Co., KY. John/Andrew's parents were Delia McKINNEY (b. 1812) and John M. WYATT (b. 1812), who were both buried in the "old McKinney cemetery at McKinneysville." Hoping to hear from cousins related to Aunt Elizabeth, either on the WARD side or the WYATT side. Thanks in advance, Marianne

    3. I have lots of Ward family in Kentucky but I have not been able to find them. My grandmother was Mary Ward, born 1873 and married W.J. Allen in 1888. I think she lived in Frankfort. She had a brother Robert who was a judge. She was raised on a planation by her father and aunt, as her mother died when she was young. I cannot find any information about her or her family. Have lots on the Allens but not the Wards. 2. I am trying to make a connection between my WARD line, which I have tracked (with lots of help from others) to Greene County, Pennsylvania, to a WARD line which originated with John Anderson WARD, who reportedly came to this country via Philadelphia about 1730, moved to southwest Virginia about 1745, and died in Augusta County, VA in 1759. He was the son of elder James WARD, from the Inishowen Peninsula, County Donegal, Ireland. This WARD line was Scottish, having moved to Ireland during the Cromwellian Plantation Period of 1550-1650. ... The info I have on my WARD family begins with John M.
