Thought you'd be interested: http://distantcousin.com/Cemetery/NJ/Essex/RoselandMethodist/ In the meantime, I went back into my database to add dates, and found this was a portion I have to rebuild, as I no longer had Laura's second marriage or her children from that marriage in my database - I swear FTM eats info. take care - Kathleen Pantano >From: coolturk <coolturk@bigfoot.com> >Reply-To: WARD-L@rootsweb.com >To: WARD-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: Laura J. 3. Hi, Lena I'm sorry, so far I haven't found any of my Wards in OH. My Ward line has been very slow going, and so far I have gotten to my gggrandfather, who was born in KY, moved to IN with my ggrandfather between 1850-1860. The name Zimri is unusual, I'm pretty sure I haven't run across it yet. Good luck! Anne

    1. Re: Eleven/Levin Ward...
    2. Hi Stacy - So glad I have information for you. A wonderful distant cousin, Richard G. Ward of Tipton Iowa, helped us a few months ago, or I wouldn't know any of this. He sent us 65 pages of family history, and when we get home, we will copy the same info and mail to you. It is wonderful. In the meantime I can tell you that Leavan (Levin) Ward came to this country from England in the mid 1700's with his young son William (maybe 4yrs old or so). Do not know who his first wife was. He met a young lady, Priscilla Price on the ship, and after arriving in America, they were married in 1775 in Maryland. They settled in NC and raised a family of 14 children, including Levin's William. Your ancestor, Noah, was one of their own 13. My husband descends from William, and he migrated to southern Indiana - Daviess CO (about 1818-1819, and the family remained there for many years. My father-in-law and mother-in-law both were raised in Daviess CO IN. They were married there in 1922 and shortly after moved north to central Indiana, where we now live. I promise to mail you what we have as soon as I can after getting home. It will be about the 18th of Feb. when I can get them mailed. OK? Lots of luck - know how much fun you are having with this! Love to you and yours - Cousin Bob and Barbara!

    3. Hi Barbara! I am so glad to hear from you. My great aunt, Judy had been looking for Eleven's parents for years before her death. I am so excited that you have information on my Eleven! I found Eleven's grave in the Lincoln Center Cemetery, Hatfield, Harrison County, Missouri. I had also found the Lincoln Twp, Harrison County, Missouri 1880 census for Levin Ward b. Tenn. age 59, Occ: Farmer, Father b. TN, Mother b. NC. Married to Elisabeth (sic) age 47 b. Indiana .Father b. KY, Mother b. SC. And in 1880 they had four children living in the household: Mary 18, William 14, Charles 12, and Lucinda 10. I assumed this was our Eleven. I have birth years for all of Eleven and Elizabeth's children~but since it is just the years, I don't know if the are correct-If I don't have the exact day/month/year of a person, I don't know how correct it is--unless I find it on a grave. And I have a birth date/month forWilliam. I don't have anything on Noah Ward, except his birth year. I decend from Martin Van Burren Ward b. 1848-1926. I will be happy to send you the decendants of him, if you are interested. In a "nutshell", Martin Van Burren Ward (1848-1926) married Nancy Jane Williams and they had 11 children. One of which was Albert W. Ward (21 Mar 1882-5/6 Sept 1961. Albert married Sylvia Elkins. (Albert had a brother Carl David Crockett Ward. It is unknown what happened to him. Family believed the Mason's got rid of him.) Albert and Sylvia had 8 children, one of which is my Great grandma Ester Ruth (Ward) Stone. She married Raymond George Stone (b.1913 d.1985) They had two children: Judith Elaine (Stone) Coulthard and Kay Ruth (Stone) Newberry-Willis. Kay is my grandma. Her first husband Arthur Rodger Newberry gave her 4 boys. (Though I love my grandparents dearly, their son Tim I could do without--though without him, I wouldn't be here.... :-) Tim married my mom, Carolyn, and they had me, the oldest of 4 children. I can't wait to hear from you. My address is: 28377 W US Hwy 69, Bethany, Missouri 64424 Have a great trip. 3. Hi all! I am looking for information on my 4th great grandfather Eleven Ward. His grave stone says he was born 21 May , 1816 and died 21 Mar 1848. He is buried in the Lincoln Center Cemetery, Lincoln Twp, Harrison County, Missouri. From the 1880 census, I find that he was born in Tenn, his father was also born in Tenn. and his mother was born in N.C. (The census showed his name as Levin. He married Elizabeth (maiden name was either Daniels or Garrison). Eleven and Elizabeth had 12 children : Martin Van Buren, Margaret Jane, Mary, Sarah Elizabeth, Almira "Molly", Noah, Rachel Ann, Susan, Mary , William, Charles, and Lucinda. If any of this sounds familiar, please contact me. If you have an Eleven in your tree, please contact me. I am willing to share any information on Eleven's children/Grandchildren. Thank you for your time. 1. Re: james ward from westmeath county ireland
    2. This is info on our JAMES WARD from Ireland ....his son Thomas WARD settled in Ohio 1841 Census Form in the handwriting of great-great gradfather James WARD. We are very fortunate to have this document since the entire Irish Census for 1841 was destroyed in a fire during the Civil War in 1922. The handwritten portionof the form ia almost illegible, but most of the information is repeated on of a page from the counnty's records. Together, these two documents show that in 1841 James WARD and his wife, Mary, lived in County Cavan, Parish of Killeshandra, townland of Killtrasna. The family consisted of the following members: James WARD, age 64, farmer Mary WARD, age 46, housekeeper John WARD, age 13, laborer Mary WARD, age 10 Thomas WARD, age 5 Philip WARD, age 2 Margaret WARD age 12, died that year from smallpox >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> As per a copy of a page from a book of valuation of tenements for tax purposes, known as Griffiths's Evaluation of 1856-1857, for the parish of Killeshandra. Under the heading for Killtrasna. It lists Mary WARD as head of family, age 56, widow, occupation shopkeeper, daughter Mary Anne WARD, age 27, occupation shopkeeper; and son John (?) WARD, age 26, occupation, farmer. This is MAry WARDS obviously would not be either of the MAry WARD's ;isted in the1841 census, nut she might be the widow either of John WARD or Philip WARD who are listed in that earlier census

    3. Hi Judy, Now, if your John WARD was born in Nova Scotia and had a daughter named Lydia, there's a good possibility he is of the same ancestry as my WARDs. The WARD family of Newport, Hants County, Nova Scotia married into the MOSHER family where the name Lydia is prolific! My ggg grandfather, Simon WARD married Rhoda MOSHER (daughter of James and Lydia MOSHER). One of there sons, Increase WARD had a son Thomas, but he was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia abt 1820. I would check out this line though, it looks like a possibility anyway. I'm sorry I do not know any siblings of anyone exept a possibility of a sister of Thomas named Lidia or Lydia, something like that. I do not know if I',ve helped. These Ward's are certainly elusive!
