    1. Trying again
    2. I am going to try again to locate someone linked to my Wards. My gggrandfather was John Ward. He married Virginia "Jenny" Butcher. I have no dates for him. The dates I have for Virginia are b. 5/27/1900 d. Aug 1944. They had two children, Ira Ward and Delia Ward. My grandmother said John Ward died when Ira Ward was 18. So going by the dates I have, John Ward would have died in 1908. He is buried in an unmarked grave in Hill Co, Texas in Smith Bend at Coon Creek Cemetery. My grandmother was told that he was part Indian but has no proof. She also said her Grandpa Burton knew him and said he was a tall, dark, handsome man. I also know that John Ward had a step sister named California. My grandmother does not know her last name, only that they called her Aunt Cal. If any of this rings a bell with anyone I would love to hear from you. Thank you, Denise Wagner

    3. Elsie Jones, I didn't see any connections YET!, but the information you cite does ring some alarms. I have two Lowe's in my line. One, J. E. Lowe married Hellon Johnston in Ellis County (Sept. 14, 1902). I have nothing but his name but Hellon is in my mothers maiden name side of the family and I have quite a lot on her. The other Lowe is Edith "Edy", don't know about her either, she married into my Dad's mothers side of the tree, to a Samuel Kirby. If this fits into your family in anyway please let me know. My mother was born in town of Italy, Ellis county, Texas in 1892. Her parents were Mary Ward and William Johnston.
