    1. Georgia Ward Help
    2. Hi to Everyone, Is Anyone working on the Ward lines in Georgia? If so I sure would like to talk to you about my deadend. I have Sarah Ward married Wm. Amberson in Morgan County, Georgia 1810 lived there until 1832 when the family moved to Cherokee County, Alabama. I can not find Sarah's father or mother. We believe that Sarah may have been born in Ireland or South Carolina around the Chester or York County areas. On the 1810 Census I have found the following Ward Families. If someone knows anything about any of these it would help to hear from you. Please read over the following and if you see a connection email me Flying60@aol.com Descendants of The Unknown Ward Generation No. 1 1. THE UNKNOWN1 WARD Children of THE UNKNOWN WARD are: i. 3. I don't know which part of Nova Scotia Solomon and his family are from, as the only information I have on him so far is from the 1881 census, when he is living on Prince Edward Island with his wife Lucretia, and two daughters (Maud and Bertha, ages 4 & 2). The 1900 Census for Haverhill, Massachusetts, which lists Lucretia as widowed, gives me the information that the family moved to the U.S. in 1882, and a third daughter (my great-grandmother Ethel) was born in Mass. in 1888, so Solomon probably died sometime after that. If I assume that the John Henry Ward (age 67) who is in the next household to Solomon in that census is his father, I make note of the fact that son Richard, age 17, was born on PEI, while Lemuel, age 25 was born in NS. The two other children in John Henry's household are Cordelia, age 28, and Hannah, age 27. In order for Richard to have been born on PEI, the family would have moved there when Solomon was between age 7 and 15 (he's 32 in 1881), and he would have met his wife there. 3. My Ward line also comes from Nova Scotia (uncertain where), by way of Prince Edward Island. One of my great-grandmothers was an Ethel Ward. According to the 1900 census for Haverhill, Essex, Mass., she was born in Massachusetts, while her mother (Lucretia) and two older sisters were born in Canada, and immigrated in 1882. No father present. According to the 1920 census (Plaistow, Rockingham, New Hampshire), her mother's place of birth is Nova Scotia. A search of the 1881 census for Canada locates the family in Prince Edward Island, though (Lot 55), where the household consists of Solomon Ward (age 35), Lucretia (age 28), Maud (age 4) and Bertha (age 2). The two girls are born in PEI, parents in Nova Scotia. The household before this is a John Henry Ward (age 67) and Lavenia (age 62), who I expect are Solomon's parents, along with several children, the youngest born in PEI, all others in Nova Scotia. And that's where I'm at with this line. Any connection to your line?
