Sandy, I do not know if the other message went through or not, so here goes. I have Reeds that were in DeSoto MS. that migrated the same way your Wards did, only they went on into Arkansas. I would greatly appreciate it if you were able to see if there were any Reed families living near your Wards in DeSoto and Tate Counties through either the land patents or the census. My Wards came to Arkansas from Tn. Maybe your Wards could be another branch and we could connecte somehow. Pat

I have only gotten back to my great grandpapa's mother, Elizabeth Ward. She was born 1795, I rechecked her birthday. She lived from 1795 until 1868, So she could be related to some of the Wards during the early to mid 1800s. She married Rev. Green Berry Waldrop )1794 , Died 1854.Both died in DeSoto/Tate County, Missisippi. Here are some family names to see if you reconize any that may be in your family. I am looking for some information on a John Sherman Ward, who went by the name of Sherman Ward. From what I have he was born abt. 1869 in Fine, St. Lawrence Co., NY to John Henry Ward and Rhoda A. Winslow. Sherman went to Wisconsin at the age of 16. He married someone in Montana and died 20 Oct 1936 in Pulaski, Wisconsin at the age of abt. 67. He had 5 sons.
