My grandfather was Commodore Daley Ward, b.1857, Ouchita Cnty, AR. Have never tracked down his parents. Could there be a connection here somewhere? Ray
You may get this 2x's. Did you look in the 1830 census? Judy Ward Donley
Did you look in the 1830 census of that state?
I have good news for Ward Family researchers. In my travels, I see family photos lost in antique shops. I think this is sad, so I decided to do something about it. So I bought every family photo that I can find with a surname on it and set up a website so that the descendants of these people can reclaim their lost loved ones. For four years I have been doing this and I am linked up with genealogical sites and photo sites. I have been able to help many people. Now I hope to be able to help you. I have many Ward Family photos on my website. Here are the ones listed in the Individual Photograph section: Mr. Ward --------- a tintype ------------------ Charles Howell Ward --- a tintype ---------------- Born 30 Jun 1858 in Addison, Steuben, New York Father:Francis H. Ward Mother:Charlotte Howell Dana B. Ward --- Age 6 years - 1872 -- Auburn, New York Delbert E. Ward -------------------- Warren, Massachusetts John W. Ward ---------------------- Warren, Massachusetts Laurence Ward --------------------------------- Veronia Ward ---------------------- Amherst, Massachusetts My desire on this project is to return family photos to someone who will appreciate them. Now you can purchase the original photograph. Let me know if you or someone you know would be interested. Visit my website below, if you like to check for other surnames. I hope I can help you find a lost loved one. Robert D. King 6226 Prince Street Prescott Valley, Arizona 86314-2930 <http://fourkings.freeyellow.com/Page3.html>

I would love to get information on Timothy Ward born abt 1800 in Ireland married to Bridget Jonson/Jonston b. 1799.They were in Ballina,Templeachally Parish,Tipperary in 1851 then came to the U.S. They lived in New York before going to San Francisco and then Red Bluff,CA.The children that I know of were Robert b. abt 1845 in Tipperary,Mary Ann b. abt 1834 in Ireland(she married a _______Reeves and had a child,Joseph Reeves, born in New York.I guess her husband died and she brought her son with her to California where she remarried),Margaret b. abt 1836 Tipperary, and Bridget born abt 1847 in Ireland.I believe there were other children. The name William is carried down through every generation since.Other possibilities are John and Ellen. Its possible that at least one of the children stayed in either Ireland or New York.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? NEW from Yahoo! GeoCities - quick and easy web site hosting, just $8.95/month. http://geocities.yahoo.com/ps/info1

Hello, hello. Have you tried searching gencircles or gendex? Also, ancestry world tree is good for clues and info, and they are all free sites. Happy hunting!

Hi Judy! Thanks for the tip! I'll try it. It seems my grandfather Richard Ward Jr was born in PA and his father came here when he was nine years old. They came from Wichen England (sp). Haven't much info except my grandfather had two brothers. Where did your Ward family settle? If I run into anything relevant I'll try to forward to you. I don't know Where my Wards come from either! I have always been told they were ScotsIrish. I can't get back past 1828 when my grgrgrandfather was born in AL and his parents are to have been from SC and have no names for that time and place. There are some tax lists that name the boys over 16 as they were taxed. Maybe you can find your Ward on one of them. Inga Ward
Judy: It looks like we are leaning toward the English side as of now, although we haven't found anything yet to verify that! I am "stuck" because I cannot tie my gggrandfather, John W. Ward, to anyone in North Carolina. He was supposedly born there, but we cannot verify that either since birth records weren't recorded before 1913. All we have to go on is that he was born abt. 1825 in North Carolina, which has been passed on down through the generations. There doesn't seem to be any family members who know of his parents names and/or siblings. Sure is frustrating, but won't give up. Surely there is a paper trail somewhere if we just knew where to look. Thanks for your best wishes. If you find anything, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know. Thanks again. Joyce Ward
