Hi Linda, Which film are you going to look at? I have 5 Ward lines to date: three through Sergeant John Ward, and two through George Ward. Both lines come through CT and end up in NJ by the mid 1600's. John and George may be related, depending what you read. Anyone want to compare notes? Linda, What is the title of the book on Wards from LDS library you mentioned? [email protected]

Elizabeth Ward was my last Ward, who married George DeLong. Then I had DeLongs for some generations. A connection is possible somewhere. Best. Hi Janet, I wish my research went further back; I only have my g-father, George Ward, born in 1865, and the rest to current time. I'll keep your letter on file, since I find it curious that the names match. The first son of George and Anna Ward was John, the first daughter Mary, the second daughter Elizabeth. Did your Elizabeth have any siblings, and do you have more recent Ward generations? Thanks, Pat
I think this is part of my line I jsut ordered a book on microfilm from the LDS library on the Wards and as soon as I get copies made of the pages pertaining to my line I will share with the list. Jim Ward, I have been trying to access your site. This link works, but once I am there and try the other Ward links I get a ' FamilyTree Maker can't find page' msg. Any suggestions? "Here is the link: http://members.tripod.com/Ward_Hunt/ward.htm "

Linda, I have James Ward b. 1672 in Inishowen Peninsula, Donegal, Ireland coming to Philadelphia, Pa. 1730 and then to Augusta County, Va. in 1745. His son was John Ward b. 1704 d. 1793. Pat, I have John Ward b. 1704 in Ireland coming to Philadelphia, Pa in 1730 who married Mary McCormick or Campbell or Holmes. Various researchers have given her a different last name. Their daughter was Elizabeth Ward b. abt. 1743 who married George DeLong. It is possible that your later Wards who lived in Pa. were descendants of these same Wards. What do you think? Cindy, I am in search of information about Sarah Ward Alvey. Originally from Maryland. Lived in Ohio and Indiana. She was married to Charles Alvey and had a daughter Florence Emma Alvey in 1860. She died 18 months later and Charles died in the Civil War in 1864. Florence was raised by her Grandparents The Wards. I have no names and only know they lived in College Corner, Ohio. I know Sarah was from Maryland because she and Charles were both from there and married in Ohio. Then moved to Elwood, Indiana. I know this is a long shot but perhaps you could shed some lite on the parents of Sarah Ward Alvey? Hi, Well, my Ward is Cornelius Ward b in 1638 in Northamptonshire. Cant find anything on his parents or siblings. I got this from LDS but there wasnt any specifics. He m Margarett Franklin in 1666 in Somerset, MD. He also registered a cattle mark in 1665, this is the first referrence to him in the US. Cant find him coming over on a ship. I got lots of info from MD Archives on the web. They had 10 children . The family stayed in Md for about 150yrs then moved to OH then to IN. I have reason to believe one of my gr-uncles was in the San Bernadino Co area of Calif till he died in 1979 or 80 I think. Dont have my info in front of me. This is the county I live but havent had a chance go to records office to get copies of death certificate to confirm his parents. Most of them stayed in IN and died there. My grandfather moved his family to Ill in 1932-4. where I was born. Where in Calif were your gg-uncles? Does Cornelius or Margarett ring any bells? I have alot of info on the Wards from MD to present , but dont want to bore you if we dont connect. I hope we do, I like finding new cousins, Cindy Chino, Calif J L Ward wrote: > Cindy, > On Tue, 09 May 2000 11:07:55 -0700 > You wrote; > >Are either of your Ward lines originally from Eng then to MD>OH>IN? >If so > >lets compare notes.
