    3. For Leslie, et al, You can find much of the info you're researching at the following WWW address: http://bc1.com/USERS/LCHAMBER/WARD.HTM I believe that you'll find that the parents of Andrew Warde, Sr. who married Hester (Esther) Sherman were not Richard Warde and Anne Guiville, but more likely StephenWard and Joyce Trafford. But all data with such distant beginnings is suspect to many Ward family researchers. You may note the corrections/additions within the < data > arrows in your message below. 3. Hi all, We interrupt this program for a short announcement.... Please do NOT send off topic posts to the list. I don't care how important you believe the product, the virus warning, or (in this case) the cause. None of these things have anything to do with genealogy as a whole and should be kept to more appropriate lists and/or newsgroups. Let's keep to the topic at hand, researching our WARD families, and debunking the myth that they appeared out of thin air in the middle of nowhere. We now return you to your regular programming.... And I'll go back to trying to find that alien mother-ship some of my ancestors apparently escaped from. Irene WARD listowner

    2. Where did he live in Ky? With a name like John Ward they were all over Ky. My family was in Montgomery Cty. and they went to Indiana about 1830. But --- my John Ward was born before 1820. If you can locate an area where he lived it would be helpful. Lynn Headley

    1. John C. Ward-Ky>TN
    2. Can anyone connect to this John Ward? John C. Ward was born circa 1820 in KY. He may be connected to the Ward clan in Hickman KY in the early 1800's. He married Lexey Redden/Redding on 2-24-1841 in Henry county, TN. Children are Amanda (1842) Elvira (1843) Leticia (1844) James (1846) John (1851) Eveline (1853) John C. Ward's second wife was Elizabeth Stem (married in 1859 in Henry Co., TN) and then they disappear. They may have gone to Texas in the late 1860's. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Mary was living with one of the sons in 1880 in the country close to Augusta, GA. Any information would be most welcome. Beulah McCain [email protected]
