Subj: WAMSLEY~WEB #11 Date: 11/19/97 WAMSLEY~WEB NEWSLETTER #11 THIS TIME THE REAL ONE!!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^ ^^^^ ordered the bible records from allegheny regional and did not find the wamsley bible listed....I was very disappointed. a cousin sent me a copy of the newsclipping but it does not have the date so it could have been published anytime in the 1930's Clarksburg exponent.....so I am still stuck. does anyone have the date for the publicaton of the wamsley bible records? does anyone know the location of the bible ? any guess on how many reels of microfilm I will have to research to find the record?I am trying to prove the birth of margaret so I can file a dar revolutionary record for William. He only listed his son Jonathan in his pension record and I do not believe anyone has claimed him as a revolutionary soldier. thanks chris 1. William Wamsley, born October 05, 1759 in Ann Arundel County, Maryland; died January 16, 1839 in Randolph County, Virginia (Harrison County). He was the son of 2. John Wamsley, Sr. and 3. Judith Dorcus. He married (1) Susannah Watson August 25, 1782 in Augusta County, Virginia. Notes William Wamsley, of Harrison County, served as a private with the Virginia State Troops. On June 7, 1833, his pension was started. He received $80.00 annual allowance, $240.00 amount received. William served in the Revolution, but only listed son Jonathan on his pension papers.
