    3. Mary Ann: According to all accounts I have seen Jonathan Wamsley along with his brother-in-law, went to "Texas" to avoid prosecution for filing false pension applications. TX was known to be a haven for all kinds of con artists and other criminals during this period since it was an independent territory and not part of the US. I have been unable to locate known descendants of his family there. If anyone has more information on this family I would be happy to get it.
