I have found Matthew and Sarah Currence Wamsley's family difficult in the extreme to put together. This is what I have so far and it may not be correct: Jane, John, Johathan, Catherine, Matthew Jr., William. Should be 2 more females, Suggested others have been Abraham Skidmore Wamsley, Samuel Morris Wamsley, and Daniel Wamsley. I have no idea where the above ones fit. Any additional information would be appreciated. Jean

Maggie's husband was Grover C. CHANNELL (1888-1962), s/o Noah S. CHANNELL and Mary C. "Molly" CRICKARD. Also, I have birth date of Matthew Wamsley III as 8 June 1854, which makes sense if Perry S. was in fact b. in Jan. 1853. While we're talking about this line, who do you have as children of Matthew and Sally Currence Wamsley? I'm VERY confused about this family! Mary Ann Wamsley
The book American fly-boy is about a man by the name of George Wamsley born in 1915 in Montana. The review of the book states that George was the son of a storekeeper in rural Montana, and that he grew up during the Depression years to become a pilot in World War II. "During the war years he flew the large C-47 transport planes. His stories describe the interesting cargo which he carried as well as the fascinating and remote South Pacific destinations he visited to deliver supplies to infantrymen." I am going to try to find this book. Does anyone know anything about this George Wamsley? From Family Tree Maker CD #180, there are two entries on a Zebulon. Can people on this list please check the earliest dates for him in their personal records. I'm trying to see if this Zebulon could be the same as the one in Virgina, I think Viginia or West Virginia. Thank you very much. Items from the Day Books of Honorable Esbon Sanford of North Kingstown, Rhode Island 1798-1833 "The deaths indicated and relationships expressed by the manufacturer and delivery of coffins recorded in the Day Books 1798-1833 belonging to the Honorable Esbon Sanford of North Kingstown, Rhode Island" Zebulon Walmesley a coffin for your wife...May 25, 1804. Zebulon Walmsley a coffin for Abagail Sampson on November 23, 1805. Can some check these years, was Zebulon Walmesley in the Virginia's during these times or missing off lists? Need some help. Thanks much. Nancy-Jo Nunez California

This line is a tangent line for me so I have not sought earlier records. The surname is unusual enough to indicate some distant kin in RI - I just don't have anything to show it so - yet.

I have this: Mary Jane Wamsley born March 16, 1864, in Providence Rhode Island, she married a man by the name of Leander Bliss, he was born in Johnston, Rhode Island. The family has native american ancestry dating back to the Sachem Massasoit of Masschusetts. Any idea? Mary Jane Wamsley in Rhode Island...her father was Samuel Judson Warmsley (spelled several ways, but on his death certificate it is WARmsley) and her mother is Dolly Eaton Smith...this family, the couple used the last name ONSLEY. I haven't figured out why they changed it, but do you have a Samuel or Dolly in your line? Thanks for the reply. Nancy-Jo Nunez San Jose, CA
