I've "rescued" an old photograph of John Thomas MAJORS which was taken at the Thomson Studio in Kansas City, Missouri. The photograph was probably taken sometime in the 1880's or 1890's with John appearing to be about 8 years old at the time it was taken. In addition to his name someone has written "Brother of Carrie Alice MAJORS HANSEN" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I believe that he may be the son of Samuel P. & Amanda MAJORS. The family was living in Kansas City, MO during the 1910 census with records providing the following information: Samuel P. MAJORS, age 55, married 32 years, born MO, parents born TX, a Policeman Amanda MAJORS, wife, age 50, married 32 years, 2 children/2 living, born MO, parents born KY John T. MAJORS, son, age 29, born MO Willie WALROND, bro-in-law, age 44, born MO, parents born KY, a House Carpenter Still living in Kansas City during the 1920 census, records provide the following information: S. P. MAJORS, age 64, born TX, parents born TN/KY, a Residential Watchman Alice A. MAJORS, wife, age 59, born MO, parents born VA/KS John T. MAJORS, son, age 39, born MO, a Repairman I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that this precious old photograph can be returned to its rightful place with the family. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
