    1. Re: SHARING
    2. Could it be that in someone's zeal to help others, that they have inadvertently broken some rules. Many of us are learning as fast as we can the do's and dont's of the net. I have called two state archives and three libraries about copywrites, all have given me a different answer. Even if this was intentional can we not have civilized discussion as we seem to be for the most part educated mannerly people. I for one have proffited greatly from the work of others, who have shared with me. I have learned over the last year and a half how to document and to give the people who have shared with me due credit; but I must confess at the beginning I did not understand how to do this. I have been very ill for a while and the internet and the wonderful people involved in genealogy have been a godsend for me. I am very appreciative of all the list owners, computer experts, and happy hunters like myself, for all of their work. I think discussion is always good, and so is discention; but why not have that without name calling. I have learned a few things from this argument and if it had started in a more courteous manner would have enjoyed it. Many of us would like to have information on what we can and cannot do as far as copying someone elses work. Pamela Sutton Hazen
