Nancy, In the book " The Wallace Family in America" by James A Phelps, there is a Peter Wallace and his brother William, of Scotch-Irish immigrants. They were married to sisters named Elizabeth and Hannah Woods. The book tells a short story about Peter Wallace and Elizabeth Wood and follows one line down. The children of Peter Wallace and Elizabeth Woods were: Andrew, Adam, Samuel and Peter all of whom are supposed to have been born in Ireland. Does this sound like your family? Let me know and I will send all the info on this family by email. I'm hoping that someone can verify this for me. I have info that Peter Wallace, Jr. of Rockbridge county, Va. married Martha Woods @1744. One of their sons was John who married Jane Miller. The info that I have takes John's ancestors back to Henry de Bohun, the Surety who married Maud FitzGeoffrey @year 1200. My great aunt, long deceased, joined the Magna Charta Society of Dames based on this info. Can anyone give me more info on this? I do have the line of descent between Henry de Bohun and John Wallace. > >Nancy McGinty > > >
