I'm seeking information on the ancestors of John Gordon Wallace b. abt 1825 Edinburgh, Scotland. He married Mary Argyle Henderson b. abt 1830 Greenwich, England. They were married abt 1848 and shortly after came to America and lived in Phila. Pa.. They had 4 children, Jane, Laura, Anne (all died very young) and Margaret Amy (my gg grandmother). In her Memoirs, my gg grandmother says that John Gordon Wallace was a collateral decendent of Sir William Wallace and that his granmother was a direct decendent of Sir John Gordon (Earl of Huntley) of Scotland.
