I posted some of this info before, but I have found additional information on my TWO lines of Wallaces that settled in the Boston area: I am researching two separate lines of WALLACES who ended up married to eachother ! Patrick WALLACE of Ireland married Nora HEANEY (b. 1854 in Ireland)-- not sure of the County. They were married in Ireland and immigrated in 1892. In 1900 Federal Census-BOSTON, MA: Norah was a widow. She was the mother of 5 children with 3 living at that time--just these two living with her: Daniel J. (b. Jan 1881 in Ireland); Bartholemew(b. May 1883 in Ireland)--They all immigrated in 1892. I believe Mary (b. 1878 in Ireland; d. 1928 in Boston, MA) was her other child. In 1900, Mary was married to Michael FLAHERTY (b. 1876 in Galway, Ireland; yr of immigration: 1894) . They married in 1897 in Boston, MA. They had 4 children: John (1898);William (1900) <<<my grandfather>>>; Margaret (1901); and a child who died at birth/infancy. 1900 Federal Census shows that they lived on West Ninth Street in Boston, MA. Could not find Norah and Daniel J. in the 1920 census. Found Bartholemew living in Watertown, MA with his wife, Bridget (b. 1882 in Ireland) and 5 children ( William S. (b. 1910); Mary (b. 1911); John (b. 1912);Anna M. (b. 1914); Joseph D. (1915). All children born in Massachusetts <<<Census was taken Jan 10, 1920--so if any of these children were born Jan 1-10, the years of birth will be different--I assumed they all were born after Jan 10th>>. In 1920, Found Mary WALLACE FLAHERTY living on West Ninth Street, (!) in Boston with her second husband Peter J. WALLACE (no relation)(b. 1875 in Ireland, year of immigration 1897) and 2 of her children from her first marriage and 4 of her children with Peter: John FLAHERTY; Margaret FLAHERTY; Peter J. WALLACE (1908); Edward J. WALLACE (1911); Anna M. WALLACE (1913); and Phillip WALLACE (1915) -----(could have had more children after 1920--I'm not sure). Any info on these two lines of WALLACES would be greatly appreciated! From Family origin in Ireland to the family lines in Massachusetts! Thanks- Marie MarinaRS@aol.com
