Hi, My GGG-Grandfather was Robert Wallace, Sr. (b.15 Nov 1780 in Ireland d. 12 Feb 1878 in Stokes twp., Logan co., Ohio) He married Margaret abt 1815 in Ireland. He came to the U.S. alone abt 1812 and secured work near New York City. Family came over and he met them in abt 1837 as they got off a boat in New York harbor. Later, the family settled in Utica, Knox co., Ohio for a short time and then came to Logan co., Ohio abt 1847, settling on a farm in Rushcreek twp. near Rushsylvania, Logan co., Ohio. In 1861 they moved to Stokes twp., Logan co., Ohio. Their children were: 1. Catharine (b.. 1820-1826 in Ireland) She married James Hall on 6 Jun 1847 in Logan co., Ohio. 2. James (b. 1827 in Ireland) He married Ruth Ann Hockett on 25 Nov 1848 in Logan co., Ohio. 3. son? (b. 1829 d. 7 Jan 1849 in Ireland) 4. S. Ann (b. 1830 in Ireland d. 23 Sep 1879 in Logan co., Ohio) She married James Wesley Rudasil on 20 Nov 1845 in Logan co., Ohio 5. Robert Jr. (b. 1 May 1834 in Ireland d. 1912 in Stokes twp., Logan co., Ohio) He married Minerva A. Borton on 14 Aug 1856 in Rushsylvania, Logan co., Ohio. They are my GG- Grandparents. 6. infant-- we think died and was buried at sea. 7. Jane (b. abt 1835 in Ireland) She married William J. Carson on 6 Feb 1851 in Logan co., Ohio. She also married George Lease on 13 Oct 1853. 8. Isabella (b. abt 1840) She married William B. Knight on 24 Dec 1857. 9. Margaret (b. abt 1842) She married Frederick S. Taylor on 20 Dec 1860 in Logan co., Ohio. 10. Thomas Wallace (b. abt 1844) He married Leslie Knowles on 5 Jan 1870 in Logan co., Ohio If you have any information on this family I would certainly like to hear from you. Robert R.
