Ok, here goes. I've been researching my Stewart side and came up with this information about my Wallace side. Three brothers, (Wallace) came to New York from Scotland in the late 1800's. One of the brothers, Thomas, later went to Georgia and then Gilmore, Texas. This is where he married Martha Barnes. I do not know if Barnes is her middle name or maiden name. I know her as Martha Barnes Wallace. She was my maternal Grandfather's mother. His name was Allison (Buck) Wallace. Her mother was full blood Comanche and as such the family maintained a very low profile. Marriages to Indians at the time, (so I am told) were frowned on. Apparently this is why I am running into a brick wall beyond this information. If anybody has or finds any related information I would be grateful.
