    3. This is very good advice. My family are all members of the church and my Grandmother did extensive research for the church up until her death. I was able to trace my Stewart side all the way back to Scotland. The Wallace side will be next as Wallace was my Mother's maiden name. Answer to orkboyz: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) have Family History Centers in their chapels world-wide. They are staffed with friendly capable people who are willing to help anyone of any faith and there is no charge. The Mormon church has the largest repository of vital statistics in the world. A large amount of it is available on line. What is not on line is on microfilm and the films can be ordered in to be read at their centers. The Family History centers have computers and film readers all of which are available for the general public to use at no charge.
