Hello List, My name is Pamela, I am researching my husbands Great Grandparents James Wallace and Emma Jane Gane. I have been researching both our family surnames for 10 years now. I have not had any luck with his Wallace side though. All I know is that his Great Grandfather was James Wallace born about 1864 in Edinburgh, Scotland. And in 1925 when Christina married Charles Walter Groves her father James was a Railway Signalman. And that he married? Emma Jane Gane, although have not found a marriage for them, although I surpose they could have married in Scotland. They had two daughters that I know about. Their first child Emma Wallace born 1890 in Pimlico, London, England and my husband Stephen's Grandmother Christina Beatrice Wallace born 29, September 1891 at 52, Riverhall Street, Wandsworth Rd, Lambeth, Essex, England. I think James's parents were Robert Wallace and Margaret Bain? I only think this because of the 1881 Census. I am not to sure. Is this James Wallace in your family, If so please get in touch with me.
