Hi all my first try at this. But I am looking for anyone who may have information for the following Wallace family; Ann Wallace born approx 1796 died 1870's, has stated on Scottish Census she was born in Balmaghie, Kirkcudbright, Scotland. I believe her parents were Robert and Isabella Wallace, he was an ag worker and last known residence was in Kelton, Kirkcudbright, Scotland in the late 1700's neither Ann's parents show up on the 1841 census. Ann married Peter McTaggart in aprox 1818 in Kelton, they had the following children: John (1819) Thomas (1820) ISABELLA (1824), Helen, Margret, James and Mary. The first two children were born at Rhoenhouse, Kelton, Isabella ( my ancestor) was born at Flathill, Rerrick and the rest of the children were born at Barend or High Barend, Rerrick Ann's husband Peter and her eldest son were both stonemasons. At the time of her death she was living with her son John in the Villiage of Dunndrennan . She and her husband appear on the '41, '61 and '71 Scottish census.
