I am William Patrick Wallace, Born, Calif. 1922 I am searching for the maiden name of my Great Grandmother Wallace. According to oral family history my Great Grandfather Wallace, (I think his name was William), came from Scotland to Ireland and married an Irish girl, (my great grandmother). They had a son, Patrick, born approximately 1828. Sometime after that Great Grandmother smuggled Great Grandfather onto a boat to America because the British were after him for some political reason. A year or so later, she and young Patrick joined him. I have written records of my grandfather, Patrick Wallace, from April 1849 on, but nothing before that. I would certainly appreciate any information about this family.
