I would love to find out how my Wallace line ties into all the other Wallace branches. I am amazed at how may different lines there are. I have traced--with hard evidence--the line to Richard Wallace/Wallis 1736 Raw House Kirkhaugh, Northumberland. They went to Stanhope, Durham,then to the coal fields near the North Sea, and a couple of generations later my great grandfather came to America with three daughters. It appears they were lead miners, and then coal miners. It has been postulated that they came from Scotland at one time to find work.
