Hello. I am currently attempting to research my family tree on my mothers side. Having had some success, I would like to fill in some blanks and get further back. I have found James Wallace via 1861 cencus, but cannot find his birth. According to the cencus he would have been born around 1825 in St Andrews Fife, but I have had no success finding the birth record, therefore his parents and family are unknown to me and I need them to trace further. His son Robert Wallace is also not found, even though the other siblings were. Robert was born around 1849, being age 12 in 1861 cencus. If anyone can help, I will be grateful to hear from you. Best regards - Ian Forsyth
