Hello Bill, I am not sure where my WALLACES ended up as they are very elusive to find . I have a William Wallace b 1875 in Kennoway Fife that I am still looking for. Parents were James Wallace and Margaret Cumming. Regards MArgaret.
FYI I have a Joshua Wallace that comes from Nova Scotia to Portland Maine about 1870. His parents were born Scotland. david ----- Original Message ----- From: <mcockburn@ihug.co.nz> To: <WALLACE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, January 23, 2006 9:53 PM Subject: [WALLACE-L] Re Wallace Digest > Hello Bill, > > I am not sure where my WALLACES ended up as they are very > elusive to find . My Wallace family is from Scotland, I believe in Kettle, Fife and Cupar, Fife. The names are Henry Campbell Wallace born 1868 and he came to New York. His father was Thomas Forrest Wallace born in 1828. I have a brother named for Henry named James born in 1860. All my Wallace family I have moved to New York in mid-to late 1890's. Interesting side note: Henry Campbell (my gr grandfather) was a carpenter and my family has the tools and tool box he brought over to America. One of his jobs was to repair one of the big wood doors at St. Patricks Cathederal in NYC. Please email me with any connections. Thank you.
