    3. My brick wall has been Emanuel Wallace. In 1952 my maternal grandmother gave me a rosewood tatting box inlaid with mother of pearl. In it she states that the box was given to her by her Uncle Emanuel Wallace. The box was his grand- mothers. It immigrated with her to America around 1776. The note was really maddening as it did not give this grandmother's name and did not give any info on who in the family Emanuel Wallace was related to. As near as I can piece it together the line is as follows: my grandmother: Ida Belle Clark b. 01-05-1889 Marion, Iowa m. John McCreary 12-20-1911 Dallas Co., Iowa, d. 10-24-1985 Orange Co., Ca. Her parents were George Elza Clark b. 02-16-1856 IL. and Sarah Elizabeth McCullough b. 07-06- 1864 Marion Co., Iowa. Sarah's parents were John Franklin McCullough b. 10-09-1839 Union Co., In. and Cynthia (Synthia) Willis b. 1835 Ripley Co., In. Cynthia's parents were John Logan Willis b 06-23-1794 Washington Co, VA and Frances McHenry Wallace b. 03-01-1801 Wayne Co., KY. Frances' parents were Robert Wallace and Jane McHenry. Don't know much about where they came from, but Robert left a will in Wayne Co., KY in 1814. Does anyone from this line have evidence of an Emanuel Wallace living in or near Marion Co., Iowa in the years between 1895 and 1930? I'd sure appreciate a clue as to Emanuel's exact relationship with my grnadmother Ida Belle Clark. And maybe I could find out who our mysterious tatting grand- mother was. Hopefully, Maryanna Stever La Habra, CA.
