Bill, I dont know if you have your infomation yet, but I have this. The Wallace line we are descended from is pretty well documented. They are the Wallace/Woods/Campbell line that came from PA to Augusta VA to Rockbridge (Lexington) VA. Andrew Wallace (b. 1748, d. 1829) and Catharine Parks (no dates) Andrew was the son of Samuel Wallace (B. 1709) and Ester Baker. Samuel and Ester had 4 Children: Caleb 1742 Elizabeth 1745 Samuel Andrew (yours) The parents of Samuel (married to Ester) was Peter Wallace Sr. (b.1680, d. bef. 1724) and Elizabeth Woods (b. 1682, d. 1747) they were married in 1702 in Ireland. The others on the list have much more info than I, but I hope this helps. Richard Beckman This is the first time I have entered a query on Rootsweb-L. I have been reading messages for some time. I am wondering if some of you people who are and have been researching ANDREW WALLACE of ROCKBRIDGE/AUGUSTA CO., VA can provide any help. My gg Grandfather married Sarah Lapsley Wallace December 6, 1820, Rockbridge Co., VA. Her death record is recorded in Rockbridge Co., VA Register of Deaths as February 16, 1853 which shows her parents as Andrew and Catherine Wallace. Can anyone help in identifying Andrew and Catherine Wallace. Claimant: Kellough, Samuel; County of Claim: Clarke Co.; Date Petition signed: October 27, 1802; Type of Instrument: Affidavit: Officials: J.W. Wallace, J.P. Other names: George Wallace: Subject Claims that what George Wallace says in his affidavit is true and that the stolen horse was valued at $100.00. It appears George Wallace by Appendix Document #310, in 1795, had 1 horse lost at value of 66.66 John Wallace and Samuel Kellough had a passport to travel through Indian lands and eventually went to Rutherford Co., Tn. so perhaps he is related to William and Ruth Porter Wallace, Oliver Wallace, etc. I had once sent a DAR application on the RS of this Wallace (John) through rootsweb and Wallace list. Does anyone have copy of it? Molly
