Ima, Sounds like you have been mining Chalkley's work. Pure gold isn't it? Your references are to the line of Peter Wallace Jr's son, Samuel, if I recall correctly. I'd very much like to know more about your research and your interest in the Wallace-Patterson connection. My David Wallace line comes from the same area and same time frame. David's (and wife, Margaret whose maiden name is yet unknown) son, John married Elizabeth (Betsy) Patterson. His son, William, married Elizabeth's sister, Mary Patterson. These Pattersons were daughters of William Patterson of Wythe County. I don't know what the connection between this William Patterson and the Pattersons who lived closer to the Lexington area might be, but have a hunch that there may be a link. This William Patterson had about 18 children between his several wifes. I can send a copy of William Patterson's will if you would like.
