Concerning Jeanne Scott's posting, I was interested in learning more about the documentation you may have. You list children for Matthew and Elizabeth Alexander Wallace that I have not seen. If one accepts that Matthew was born in 1640 or thereabouts, then I believe your listing of a child named Elizabeth, whom you believe to be born in 1735, would have to be incorrect. This would place Matthew at 95 years of age at Elizabeth's birth. The children I have for Matthew and Elizabeth are: David, Matthew (b. 1672), John, Cathrine, Jane, Ezekial, Dorothy and James. The children I have listed for Matthew (b. 1672) and Sarah Alexander Wallace are: Ann, Joseph, James and Ezekiel. I am descended through James' line. I've seen a lot of different information on the Wallace family and I know that my information probably has a lot of errors. I wish I had acceptable supporting documentation, but I do not. I do have a transcription of the will of James Wallace, son of Matthew Wallace, b. 1672, and a transcription of the will of Jame's son, Joseph. Your mention of the will of Matthew Wallace is exciting. However; if this is Matthew Wallace, b. 1672, then your statement that the will is dated 1761 is confusing. Perhaps my date of death for Matthew Wallace of May 3, 1751 is incorrect. I would love to communicate with you concerning this information. Eric Petty
