I am looking for any information on my gggrandfather and gggrandmother William Balfore Wallace. b in Scotland, married to Betsy Creig in Scotland. They lived, at least for a time before immigrating, in Glasgow. Emigrated to the U.S. abt 1866 with at least two children, 1) an appox. 4 yr old dau Magdeline Philip Wallace born Sept 17, 1862 at Wemyss, Fife, Scotland; 2) an approx 2 year old dau Margaret, and perhaps 3) a baby in arms, Betsy Johnson Wallace born 1866.(she may have been born on board ship or soon after arriving) 4 more children born in US were: Isabel who married a Mr. Hopwood, and in 1928 lived in Birmingham, AL. John who in 1928 lived in Chelsea, MI James who in 1928 lived in Hoistington, KS William who in 1928 lived in Dayton, OH. The immigrant family went to Indianapolis, IN. Then later,moved to Belleville, St. Claire Co., IL and then later, moved to Darke Co., OH. Magedeline Philip Wallace d. Jan 17, 1928 in Darke Co., OH. She m John Baptiste Alexander June 3, 1885 in Belleville, St. Claire CO., IL. John B. b. Mar 4, 1860 in Darke Co., OH. d. July 4 1947 in Montgomery Co., OH. He was the son of Alfhonse Nicolas Alexander and Virginia Goubeaux. Does this sound familiar to anyone. Anybody else have this line? Or any info on this line? Mickey [email protected]
