Looking for a trace on:- Lt General William Jennings Wallace U.S.M.C. D.S.M. b Maryland 1895 d1977 San Diego, m 1932 Fannie Grant Chaffee Macy b1905 d1933, children Susan Grant Wallace b1933 & Miriam Wallace (now Sellgren) b1937, half sisters Dorothy Wallace b1911 & Hope Wallace b1913, parents Wiliam Dudley Wallace b Maryland 18 74 & Lydia Wallace (nee Potts) b?, grandparents William A. or W. Wallace b1847 & Laura Wallace (nee ?) b1852. I was only told in 1994, just before my 60th birthday, that he was my biological father, but both he and my mother passed on before I knew any of this, and although I traced his daughters 5 years ago and sent my photograph showing my very strong resemblance to him, and provided official Military documentation proving he was in UK in 1933 - 9 months before I was born there in 1934, and evidence of his association with my mother, they ignore all my requests for information. My main objective is to trace his half sisters Dorothy & Hope, whom I understand are still living and have proof that he is my father, but although his daughters promised to contact them for me 5 years ago, I don't think they did so, and they will not tell me where they are or give me any information or help whatsoever, but I am told that Dorothy could now be Dorothy Duncan and living in or near Orlando Florida, and Hope could be in North Carolina My secondary objective is to find the link between my father's grandfather and the Williams family, and I have been given the name Clifton Williams (Commander) in this regard. My father's wife was a descendant of President Grant, and some of her family married into the Hanbury-Williams family, but I don't know if there is any actual Williams blood link to my father.
