My Wallaces are from the Northeastern part of IN. My grandfather was Harry Wallace b. 1895 (married to Nellie Dawson in 1920), His father was James Wallace (married to Barbara Ann VanDorren), His father was Nicholas Wallace(marrried to Sarah - last name unkown). that is where I have a brick wall. Nicholas came from Ohio. Some of the Nicholas' IN descendents went on a trek to Iowa in covered wagons, but due to harsh conditions some returned. The Wallces I have mentioned above are buried In Indiana. I will be visiting their places of burial next month to get some dates. Any help with this brick wall would be appreciated. Also while researching, I came upon an Indian land clain, whereas a Mary Wallace was given a Miami Indian land claim in Allen Co.IN 0n May1,1844. It is signed by President Taylor.
