I have reached a road block. I am trying to research my Wallace side. I didn't know how common the name "Wallace" is or better yet, Edward, William, Henry, John, and James. My great great grandfather James was born in PA... ABOUT 1808 - 1814. He moved to Leesburg, Loudoun Co., VA. I don't know when. He married an Adelaide ? or Adelia Johnson. This is according to 1850 Census and my great grandfather's marriage records. They had several children: Christie @1834 Frances @1837 Daniel @1838 Alverta @1840 James @1843 Almeda @ 1842 Henry Clay @1847 William @ 1849 Jannett @1850 Elizabeth @1857 John @1859 William is my great grandfather. His middle name is Webster. He at some time moved to Granville, Hampden Co., MA and married Emma Randall in 1883. Emma is the daughter of Niles C. and Mittie Aldrich Randall. I was able to trace the Aldrich side of the family and also the Randall side. William and Emma also had several children: Clarissa A. @1883 Edward. W. @1885 James M. @1887 William W. @1888 he died 2 years later - double pheumonia Alvida E. @1889 Essie C. @1891 she died 7 days later - unknown cause. Nettie Etta @1892 Lottie V. @1894 Emma went on to marry Florent Rosier after William died in 1902. Emma died in 1922 in Winsted, CT. They had 2 children. Edward is my grandfather. His middle name was also Webster. My father was Edward Webster, Jr. Now back to James. The 1850 Census has his middle initial M. My great grandfather William's marriage record to Emma Randall has James's middle initial as W. I know information in Census records can be somewhat incorrect. Henry Clay married Henrietta Forsythe of VA. They had three children: Essey C. Francis C Julian C. They moved to Washington, D.C. I cannot go back any further with James. I don't have any idea when in PA he came from. Can anyone out there help me. my e-mail address is:lisa32738@yahoo.com. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam?
