Something on William Wallace, (father of Patrick Wallace) might turn up. Some oral history suggests that, but how would I research that? 3. Bill You can search for soldiers discharge papers on this site. You may be able to identify your William. Or else you would need to seach the regiment history to see which ones served in Ireland. http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/default.asp When I re read your email I see you were searching for the maiden name of Williams wife. I had fired off my email without reading yours carefully enough. Army records did not show marriage details. I hope I have not lead you astray.
