To all Wallace Researchers: In 1818 when my Wallace ancestors arrive in southern Quebec from Alston, Cumberland, England, their many descendants have been on the move, Quebec, Ontario, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Arkansas, to name but a few provinces and states where Wallace routes have flourished. I am trying to make a connection with the following Wallace's, where family tradition indicates they have settled. If anyone has come in contact, in their research activities with any of the following, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you, no matter the smallest bit of information. What ever data I have on each person is included with their name and the area where they may have settled. Family # 1 Thomas Wallace, b about 1833, m about 1858, settled in St. Paul, Minnesota. He had four children, two boys and two girls. One girl was named Mabel Wallace. John Wallace, brother of Thomas, settled in Minneapolis. He had five sons. Elizabeth J. Thomas, sister of Thomas and John, who settled in Minneapolis, married an Allard and had one son named Ernest. Family # 2 Elizabeth Wallace, daughter of William Wallace and Elizabeth Watson, born about 1806, married William Brogdin and moved to Ontario Isabella Wallace, sister of Elizabeth also moved to Ontario William Wallace, brother of Elizabeth also moved to Ontario I have the feeling that their move to Ontario, near Port Hope, was because that is where my great grandfather Job Wallace settled. Family # 3 Samuel Wallace, son of Job, brother of family #2, moved to Ohio and had one son Thomas Wallace, brother of Samuel, moved to somewhere in the USA. He had only one eye. Jennie Wallace, a sister, married J. Thomas Savage, had several children, lived somewhere in the USA Job Wallace, a nephew, moved to New Hampshire, lost a leg, had three daughters, Grace, Birdie and ? If anyone has any thoughts or ideas as to how I can open some doors and make contact with any of the above descendants I would be most appreciative in hearing from you Many Thanks Harry Rogers, a great grand son looking for connections.
Would you please remove me from your distribution lists. Neither my family nor my wife's has any Wallace forebears.
