I have been trying to get additional information on James Wallace for about 20 years but all I know is he died in Smith Co., TN, in 1828. I have the names of his children from his will but have only the date of birth for Elizabeth who was my great-great-grandmother. James' wife was Mary (Polly) - I have no other information on her. Their children were: 1. Elizabeth born Mar. 28, 1796; died Feb. 15, 1865; married Elijah Haney Carman Apr. 6, 1824 2. Robert 3. Hannah 4. Sarah (Sally) 5. Patsy 6. Polly 7. Jefferson 8. James, Jr. 9. John (his middle name may have been Edward) One of the daughters evidently married a Draper because James names his two grandsons, Jackson and Wesley Draper, in his will. James Wallace has been one of my brickwalls for over 20 years so I hope someone else is researching this family. I check the Wallace mail list closely so I hope it will continue.
