    3. Hello again all, I spoke to soon. Just as I was transferring all replies on this topic to a new folder, this a.m., my mechanical 'friend/fiend' decided to have a rest. I now cannot find your replies. Would you be so kind as to resend? While I obviously have not sorted my own problem, I have some suggestions that might help others. I have seen a number of messages from listers who have had of crashes for whatever reason. 1. Wallace genealogy web page with D N A study information
    2. Crystal
    3. Hi all.. I've been working on the Wallace D N A website. We've gotten quite a few people in the study now and linked a couple of families together (still need to find that paper trail but it narrows the search :) ... Right now it the results page just has the table of results with a name and their markers. I'm trying to gather data to get a location, brief gen of wallace line and poc to link everything up so we can really begin to compare notes. If you are on the page and would like more info included (including weblink if you have one) please email me so I don't have to track you down :) .. If you are not on the page and have dna results (from any company) and would like to participate in the study please email me offlist. I'll be completing the other info like how to participate, etc. soon. If you have any other questions please don't hestitate to ask :) Here's the link: http://www.wallacedna.org

    3. Go to this page: http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi There are five people researching that family. I just did a very quick search there and clicked on William Wallace the third from bottom of the page. There is quite a lot of information. If you have never used World Connect before you can also contact each of the researchers. Hope this helps. June J. 1. Look Up Please
    2. Hello All, Could someone PLEASE do a lookup for me at Registry House I would very much appreciate it. I am looking for the death of GEORGE WALLACE b GLASGOW abt 1793. He died somewhere between 20th June 1859 and 7th Jan 1867. I have searched all the George Wallace deaths at scotlands people for that time and come up with nothing.A very expensive exercise. I have checked all 1851 census that i can get on line but nothing. The SPOUSE of GEORGE is AGNES THOMSON and she was still alive at that time. I would dearly love to find this persons death so as to confirm parents etc. Many Thanks Margaret in NewZealand

Hello all lists, I have no wish to tread on any toes, nor to offend the very many people who have invested years of, and money on, research on their family lines, and I am very thankful to those who have contributed. If there was not so much interest I would not have been able to progress my searches so quickly and so accurately. While I do enjoy the 'almost personal' contact (and I have found distant 'cousins' round the world), I have wondered why there seems to be no central repository for genealogy. There are many sites doing their business - but, not to my mind, helping genealogists doing theirs. I started my research in about March last year, and probably appear as a mere whippersnapper, but I would appreciate some feedback. This is not meant as a flame. One of my most important thoughts was that should/could there be a genealogy site where beginners could gain access to a portal covering "all" the basics? I could go on, but, hopefully, you get the gist of my message. David Thomson, Surrey, England

    1. Mary Virginia Wallace
    2. Hi List, I'm new, and am searching for Mary Virginia Wallace, born in May 1838 in Maryland, who married Winchester Mason. I found her in the 1870, 1880, and 1900 Census. Winchester Mason died in 1901 in Baltimore. Mary was still alive at that time. They had three children: Winchester F. Mason, Josephine Virginia Mason, and Howard Stansbury Mason. I'd love to find out when Mary died and who her parents were. Any help appreciated! Diana Mason

    3. Do you mean Six Wallace Brothers and Their Descendants From Chanceford Twp., York Co., PA in the Mid-18th Century by William Wallace Barton and Jean Wallace Gayle? You can't buy it, unfortunately, although you can view on microfilm by ordering it at a FHC. Connie > Hi: > Could you give me information on this book.
