    3. Does anyone have any knowledge about Bess Wallace's family? A great Aunt told me once many years ago that our Wallace line was tied into Bess Wallace's. I have 2 generations back from Bess. My Andrew Jackson (Jack) Wallace was born Henderson Co., TN 1833. This same great Aunt said he was born Tishimingo Co., MS, but in census recs AJW stated otherwise. He married Sarah (Sallie) Messer 1849 in Lexington, TN. He married 2nd Frances Caroline Wilson in 1869 Bollinger Co., MO. AJW died in Irondale, MO 1917. He was living in Henderson Co., TN in 1850 and 1860, Mississippi Co., MO 1870, Wright Co., MO 1880, Chester Co., TN (Wild Goose) 1890, Bismarck, MO 1900 and 1910. He served during the Civil War with an Illinois Cavalry unit. Thanks - Marlene Shake

    1. John Wallace from New Hampshire
    2. Sholom Simon
    3. I'm reseaching my John Wallace from Londonderry, New Hampshire. It seems there are three of them: one who came over to America in 1719/20 and married Annis Barnett; a second married a Janet Steele; and a third who came over approx 1711 and later married Jane/Jannett Lindsey. The one I am interested in is the third one (John Wallace-Janet Lindsey). I look forward to hearing anyone else researching that line. I have a lot of info to share -- as well as a lot of info I need filling in! Thanks in advance, Sholom Simon More info: The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, 56:185-7 (April 1902), Hon Ezra S Stearns, A.M., had an article on my wife progenitor, John Wallace. The article started off this way: "In the notices of early setlers of Londonderry is found frequent and honorable mention of John Wallace. In several instances the reference to the name is presented in words and in connection that invite the reader to infer there was only one John Wallace among the early settlers of that historic town, referring to the John Wallace who married Annis Barnett and had sons Joames, William, John, and Samuel. Parker's History of Londonderry, p 307, however names a second John Wallace, who married Janet Steele and was the father of six daughters, all of whom married. Among the early worthies of Londonderry there was yet another John Wallace, whose family is outlines in this article. 1. John Wallace came to Londonderry in the early days of the settlement. For many years his name occurs frequently and honorably in the records, but it is impossible in some instances to determine which of the worthy men bearing the name is intended. This John Wallace was the most active in the land speculations of his time, as appears from the Registry of Deeds; and in an equitable division of the municipal honors which are credited to the name, it is certain that he was an important factor." This John Wallace married Jeanette Janet LINDSEY in 1728 in Londonderry, NH.
