    1. Robert Wallace - My Brick Wall
    2. Charles Hartley
    3. I'm searching for a Robert Wallace, white male, who would have been in the Louisville KY area during the period of April to July 1920. According to the only document I have that names him, he would have been 29 years old in early 1921; his occupation would have been as a laborer, and he was born in Kentucky. None of this has yet been substantiated by any other record. I know from DNA evidence that he is not the Robert J. Wallace, son of James Fitz Wallace, who was born in Louisville on 11 Apr 1882. Nor is he the Robert Wallace, son of Dr. Robert Wallace, a native of Scotland who moved to Louisville before 1900. The only other Robert Wallace that I have located who might fit the bill is a Robert J. Wallace who was stationed at Camp Taylor in Louisville in 1920. However, his origin (Ireland) and occupation (1st Lieutenant in US Army) tend to eliminate him from consideration. I have examined census records and Louisville city directories for other potential candidates without results. I have also looked in the Kentucky death index for clues. I have considered other given names such as Bob, and other surname spellings such as Wallis, but still have not find the Robert Wallace I seek. At this point my only hope in locating this Robert Wallace is either with a chance DNA match, or by someone who has a clue tucked away somewhere in their research. Please help me find him. 3. Do you have approximate birthdates? (even like born around 1920 or they died in 1940 at 70 yrs old). Any brothers and sisters? Are James and Peter brothers or father/son? Were they born in LA or AR..? What general area (city. county) etc. Do you know any of their kids names? Any information would be a help in trying to narrow which Peter and Nancy Wallace you are looking for. --- Lola Lyssy <lucianl@ltex.net> wrote: > hunting for info on james and mary wallace also > peter and nancy wallace all was b.in louis. and > ark, they are my grand dads and gg grand mother any > info on them pleas lola > >

I have been able to follow the line back to Stanhope in western Durham, Co. but nothing before that. I'm afraid there are many Thomas Wallace men out there. Seems to have been a very common name. Date of marriage Jan 1884. Thomas was a Blacksmith in 1884 and a shipyard labourer in 1889. Thomas' father was also Thomas Wallace, a shipwright. 3. I have not posted my "brick wall" for quite some time. Here it is: I'm looking for the parents of: Frances Elizabeth Wallace (or possibly Wallice) born in either Muskingum County, Ohio or Champaign County, Ohio on 7 August 1844. She married Harman (Hiram) Ervin on 3 December 1861 in Champaign County (probably Urbana, Ohio). She and Hiram had 10 children. They were: Maude, Stella, Bertha, Minnie, Ed, Pearl, Arthur, Joseph F, Bud, Effie and Adaline. She died in Springfield, Ohio (Clark County) on 18 October 1922. She is buried in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield. She was my maternal great grandmother. She spent most of her adult life in Catawba, Ohio, a farming village 11 miles due east of Springfield (and some 30 miles due west of Columbus). Any help or guidance will be most appreciated. I've searched well over half of Ohio's 88 counties for the census years 1950 and 1960 looking for a Wallace family with a daughter named Frances Elizabeth. Don Poland Allison Park, PA
