John, the Nichols refers to my great grandmother Mary Elizabeth Nichols White Wright who was married to George Washington Wright of Salkum, Lewis Co., WA. Mother of 13 children. I have so little information on her. I know she was born in Illinois February 28, 1837, to a JOHN NICHOLS. Also, has brother named ORIN NICHOLS. She first married a man named White and has son, William D. White on June 19, 1856, birthplace unknown. White drowned falling thru the ice (location unknown). She then married George Washington Wright in April 15, 1857 in Jackson Co., Iowa. They moved to Washington in 1889, their entire family came with them. She died May 22, 1928.
